What lies behind a tattoo? Fashion, personal expression, a search of one’s identity, statement, rebellion? Is it just a decoration of the skin or is it much more that this?
In this special film students of the 1st Technical High School/Lab Center of Rethymno record views of their school mates talking in an original and lively way about when, how and why they chose to apply skin marking (tattoo) techniques on their body. Sometimes with a sense of humor and others with emotion, the interviewees speak about their personal experiences, fears, the pain and others’ reaction to their tattoos, as well as about their attitude towards them.
The documentary has participated in several international festivals and received a special citation in the category “Documentary Films” at the 10th International Student Competition “Have you studied Cinema?” as well as the 2nd best poster award in the category “Posters”.
